Transducers (acousticomfort® range)

Ceiling transducer (SM-T-1200)

The ceiling transducer is used in our in-ceiling and open ceiling systems. These transducers are purpose-designed and manufactured for continuous soundmasking service.

  1. 4” woofer with dual neodymium magnet, 8 ohm impedance.
  2. Built-in crossover and transformer.
  3. 6-step rotary switch including off position.
  4. Heat proof enclosure - housing manufactured to PAHs code (low emissions).
  5. Mounting cable.
  6. Each speaker complete with 6 metre connecting cable with matching plugs so all wiring is in phase.
  7. Manufactured to BS ISO 9001:2000.
  8. Black or white colour.

Floor transducer (SM-T-2200)

The floor transducer is used in our under floor system. These transducers are purpose-designed and manufactured for continuous soundmasking service.

  1. 4” woofer with dual neodymium magnet, 8 ohm impedance.

  4. Heat proof enclosure - housing manufactured to PAHs code (low emissions).

Generators

acousticomfort® Generator (SM-GR-3100)

The Soundmask SM-GR-3100 is a microcontroller controlled digital random noise generator with an effective frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. The digitally generated Gaussian noise is passed through a Spectrum Shaper to flatten its response through the midrange, corresponding to human speech frequencies. The output can further be shaped through an external Soundmask Third Octave Digital Equaliser, Model SM-EQ-2000, via two XLR connectors.

The random noise is then amplified through a 50W full bridge digital amplifier capable of driving 100 Soundmask speakers (Model SM-T-1200). The device’s output can also be adjusted to ramp up when the device is switched on for a more acoustically comfortable start up. The device has a switchmode power supply (CE and CB Compliant Separate Certificates can be supplied as required) and a digital amplifier to minimize power use.

serenity™ Generator (SM-GS-3200)

Equalizers

Equalizer (SM-EQ-2000)

The Digital Equalizer is a stereo equalizer processor for easy audio spectrum control. All parameters can be easily adjusted and controlled vial the user friendly menu function. The 24-bit A/D and D/A converters provide superb sound quality and a wide frequency response due to the 48kHz- sampling rate. A total of 30 factory presets are provided. The user programs can be recalled or stored from/to the device, allowing them to be changed rapidly.

Amplifiers

Digital Amplifier (SM-DX-4800)

The SM-DX-4800 features 4 channel input and 8 channel output, selectable 6 bands of parametric EQ per channel, multiple crossover selections and full function limiters. The unit also features remote computer control through a LAN connection.

Distributors

Zone Distributor (SM-DR-5000)

The unit is a five channel volume control, each channel with separate attenuator. It is a single rack unit designed for convenient installation. Each channel has a maximum loading capability of 200 watts.

Digital Distributor (SM-DA-8000)

The SM-DA-8000 is an 8 channel digital amplifier, with an output of 50 watts RMS per channel @ 8 ohms. It features individual channel level control on the front panel, XLR inputs (received from the SM-DX-4800) for each channel and stereo banana jack outputs. Being digital, this unit is extremely efficient and delivers uncoloured signal direct to the transducer.
